TERMS & CONDITIONS

All Cottages are non-smoking. No pets please.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: All rates are in Canadian Funds, and will be subject to applicable Provincial and Federal Sales tax. We require a deposit of 50% at time of booking (Credit Cards accepted); your deposit, less a $25 surcharge, will be refunded if a cancellation notice is given 60 days before your arrival date. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or discounts for late arrivals or early departures. Verbal authorization to use your credit card for either deposit or payment indicates compliance with our booking Terms & Conditions as described. Note that deposits for prime vacation periods (June 15 - September 15, Christmas and New Years) are non-refundable and you are responsible for the full rental amount unless we are able to re-book your cancellation. If we are able to re-book your cottage during these periods you would not be responsible for the balance (50%), however the initial deposit will be forfeited. No exceptions. As this is a destination resort, a last minute cancellation usually results in a vacancy for us, so this policy is firm. If you have questions or concerns regarding your booking, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Weather Policy

Bear Country Cottages does not accept responsibility for poor weather conditions which may affect highway travel.

All bookings are the responsibility of the guests unless Highway 59 is closed by the Manitoba Department of Highways on the day of your arrival. In this event, Bear Country Cottages will offer a gift certificate in the amount of your deposit to be used within the same winter season. We will not be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control. Power failures are another part of life in the country. Once we have been alerted to a problem we will do our best to help minimize or alleviate the issue in a timely manner, we will not offer additional compensation for an inconvenience that was addressed expeditiously. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. As a guest it would not be unreasonable to expect to encounter situations such as those mentioned above when renting any vacation cottage.
