Newfoundland Cabins: The Weather
The weather in Newfoundland and Labrador can be unpredictable. The province is quite large, so the climate and average temperatures vary depending on where you are staying. The weather is usually quite similar to the other maritime provinces, but spring comes a bit later (which means that winter is a bit longer!)
During the spring and the early summer, you'll likely be able to see some icebergs float by!
Summers in Newfoundland are very comfortable. In the northern part of the province you can expect summer temperatures to range between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. As you get closer to central Newfoundland, it warms up. Summers in Gander and St. John's (for example) range between 20 and 25 degrees on average.
In the winter, the weather in the northern part of the province is very cold (between -10 and -15 degrees) However, the winter temperatures in the rest of the province range between 1 and -8 degrees on most days. If you come prepared, your time in your Newfoundland cottage will be pleasurable, no matter what season it is!
Cabins in Newfoundland: Things to see and do
There's always something to see at new at Newfoundland cabins! As mentioned earlier, iceberg viewing is possible during the spring and early summer. You'll also find that whale watching is quite popular during that time. You can watch from the shore or go on one of the region's exciting boat tours. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Kayaking, fishing, golfing and hiking are also popular activities. Whether you're interested in cabins for sale in Newfoundland or cottage rental, Newfoundland has a lot to offer!
