Have your morning coffee out on the deck overlooking the Lake and enjoy the natural surroundings as the peaceful sounds of nature fill your ears.  You could live here forever and never tire of the view from this wonderful cottage.  The property is nicely landscaped and meticulously cared for.  Truly a shoreline showplace!

Cottage Facilities

This gorgeous Nantucket cottage exhibits an outsize personality that enhances its small dimensions.  As you open the door, prepare yourself for the gorgeous panoramic view of Lake Erie right through the cottage and the tall south facing windows.  The sliding glass doors lead to a large deck that overlooks the lawn and Lake Erie.

A casual and bright living area with plenty of natural light and an open ceiling give a spacious feel.  Nantucket decor style throughout with a modern twist.  Beautiful and simple. 

There’s the original refinished wood floor, a slip covered swivel chair, birch bark white paint on the walls, all paired with natural materials such as a wicker chair and coffee table that together with well coordinated accessories gives this completely renovated Lake Erie cottage that sea-faring nautical feel.  A gas fireplace completes the warm ambiance that is yours to relax in.  There is a flat screen TV and a combination DVD/VHS player for watching movies, new or old.    

The fully equipped modern oak kitchen includes every small appliance you can think of as well as a microwave, 30” stove, large refrigerator/freezer and plenty of dishes, pots and pans to make cooking a breeze.  The dining area offers clear views of the Lake and is convenient to the new high-end propane barbeque on the deck to grill up savory summer meals.  Or you can dine outdoors on the deck under the stars listening to the sound of waves lapping against the shore.  Barbeque propane is part of your all inclusive cottage rental.

Located on a quiet dead-end road with private beach, this Lake Erie cottage can easily accommodate up to 4 guests.  There is a bright and airy bedroom located on the main floor with a double bed.  There are stairs from the living area to the second double bedroom.  The loft bedroom also features a small sitting area… the perfect place to read with the breeze and shade of the towering mature trees to ward off the summer heat and the spectacular ‘port hole’ view of the sparkling Lake.  All towels and linens are included in the cottage rental so guests will arrive to find the beds made up and ready for a good night’s sleep.

There is a new 3 piece bathroom that includes a lighted Mirolin shower.  No room is without a view of Lake Erie and the bathroom is no exception!  It is beautifully designed so you can see the sea of turquoise that will amaze and comfort you each and every minute of your stay.  There is a door from the bathroom that leads directly to a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a large rain shower head.  Experience the sensation of soothing rain that makes every shower a natural, relaxing experience.

The large south-facing deck with a vine covered pergola is perfect for either sun or shade lovers.  There are multiple seating areas for reading, sunbathing or bird watching, plenty of patio furniture for lounging.  There is a patio table, umbrella and chairs for your outdoor dining pleasure.

In the evening after the sun sets you can retire to the outdoor fireplace area at water’s edge to enjoy the crackle of the fire, roast marshmallows and take in the breathtaking scenery.  Or, just watch the star filled sky (there’s even a telescope provided), and the moon’s reflection on Lake Erie.  Total relaxation!  Unlimited firewood is included in your all inclusive cottage rental.

Amenities

Everything is supplied with your cottage rental; pillows, blankets, bedding, linens, kitchen and bath towels, paper products, barbeque propane, and firewood are all included.  All you need to bring are personal effects and groceries! 

As one of the few ‘all inclusive’ cottage rentals on Lake Erie, it has all of the expected luxuries, and then some, for a romantic getaway for two or a private retreat with family and friends.  So, Relax. Reflect. Revive. Renew Relationships.

Location

Erie Shore Hideaway is located on the North Shore of Lake Erie between Dunnville and Port Dover, Ontario.  Drive time is less than 2 hours from Toronto and Pearson International Airport, 45 minutes from Hamilton and Brantford and 1 hour from Buffalo and US border (Peace Bridge).  

PLEASE NOTE:  The location of Erie Shore Hideaway is incorrect on the Map on this listing.  We are 10 minutes west of Dunnville on the shore of Lake Erie.     

If you ever get tired of this idyllic cottage, a pleasant 30 minute drive along the shoreline to Port Dover to explore the beach, shops and restaurants is a great option.  Or, watch the ships go through the Welland Canal in Port Colborne, or perhaps a trip to Niagara Falls or the Niagara Wine Region. 

You won’t have to travel far for fishing (Lake Erie boasts the best fishing for perch, walleye, bass, lake trout and salmon in Southern Ontario), canoeing, hiking, cycling, golf, shopping, quaint shops and historic sites or taking in the many great attractions the area has to offer …something for all interests.  NO black flies!
