2012 Summer Season begins June 23 and ends on Labour Day. Weekly Rentals only in the High Season. Summer Rentals run from 3 pm arrival Saturday to 10 am departure Saturday. No HST and no cleaning fees are charged.

Regular or Low Season begins May 1 and runs until October 31. Minimum 2 nights.

Linens and towels are offered to all renters for a fee. The fee depends on the number of renters. Pillows, blankets and tea towels/cloths are included in rental price.

Dogs are allowed at our discretion (maximum of 2 dogs). A damage deposit is required for all dogs which will be 100% refunded if there is no damage done to the premises and all feces has been removed from the property. No cats please. Dog owners are responsible to keep dog on the rental property at all times and pick up after their dogs on a regular basis.

The deposit of $500 for each week booked is non-refundable within the 2 weeks prior to the reserved rental period. If the reservation is cancelled by the rental party with more than 2 week's notice, a total of $400 of the deposit will be refunded if the booked period is successfully rebooked by another party for that same time period.

The Evergreen is a newly renovated, vintage Cape Cod cottage located directly on the shoreline of Long Line Lake in the heart of Lake of Bays in Muskoka. The lake has crystal clear water and is safe for young children with a gradual packed sandy walk-in. The lake has very few cottagers making it the perfect lake to swim, canoe and paddleboat in. Our lake is 1.5 miles long and .5 miles wide. The side of the lake opposite the cottage is uninhabited. There is a wide variety of walking paths right from your doorstep. No need to drive to enjoy hiking trails.

The Evergreen Cottage is located on a secluded, one acre property off the main Hwy 117 on a secondary cul-de-sac. No traffic noises and no loud boats or seados to disturb your solitude. You can enjoy either sun or shade on the lush, grassy lawns and surrounding gardens. The sandbox and children's Jungle Gym play areas are both shaded by tall Muskoka pines. The sandy walk-in is shallow and safe for small children, and within arm's reach of the lakeside deck. The deck gives a great view of the entire lake and enjoys sunshine from sunrise to sunset. You are also only 5 steps away from the cottage lakeside door. The floating raft is 20 feet from the lakeside deck and is deep enough for diving.

There is plenty of shaded parking at the rear of the cottage so you can bring your supplies in through the rear mudroom entry. It is an excellent place to store boots, coats, fishing poles, life jackets and extra supplies. The washer and dryer are located in the mudroom as well. The propane BBQ is on the patio at the mudroom door.

The Evergreen Cottage is graced by old-fashioned large windows on all sides and has a lake-facing glassed in Muskoka Room with steps leading to the lake and deck. The spacious living room, dining room, and lakefront Muskoka Room, allow everyone to spread out and have their own privacy. Plenty of games and books are stocked to entertain you. Satellite TV, DVD player are also provided. There are DVD rentals in both Baysville and Dorset. Blankets, pillows, spices, flour and sugar supplied.

Robinsons General Store (voted Canada's best General Store) is only 15 km (10 mins) from the cottage in the village of Dorset. There you can buy all your groceries as well as clothing, souvenirs, games and you name it! The LCBO is next door to Robinsons. There are plenty of golf courses in the area and boat and seado rentals are available on Lake of Bays from the Baysville Marina, 10 mins away. Bracebridge and Huntsville are both 35 mins drive from the cottage. Algonquin and Muskoka Outfitter Stores offer lots of outdoor expeditions in the area.

There are multiple paths right from your door for long or short hikes. The Frost Centre, on Hwy 35 and Algonquin Park, on Hwy 60, both offer a wide variety of hiking trails and are 20-40 minutes by car, respectively. Old Hwy 117, just across new Hwy 117, is super for quiet walks with the dog, jogging and bicycling. It follows the shoreline of Lake of Bays and has very little traffic as well as plenty of public owned places to swim in the hard-packed, sandy bottom Lake of Bays.

If you want to bring your own motorboat, you can launch it free of charge, on either Lake St. Nora at the Frost Centre on Hwy 35 or at the Lake of Bays boat launch, only 5 mins from the cottage on Old Hwy 117. Long Line Lake is not appropriate for motorized boats as it is so small and geared for peace and quiet. That is why it is such a great place to come to relax and unwind!
